In-store: go weekday mornings. Most big-box stores stock shelves overnight or early morning after truck deliveries (typically 1–3 trucks a week, varies by store). A Tuesday 9am check beats a Saturday afternoon check every time.
Ask an employee about truck days. Store staff will usually tell you which days their toy shipments land. That turns guessing into a schedule.
